A representative of Oilfield Safety Anchor Service Inc. will start the dig alert process by checking the site and calling USA Dig Alert. The State of California along with most other states have laws that require excavators to notify USA Dig a minimum of 48 hours prior to excavating. The 48 hours allows the pipeline and utility companies an opportunity to visit the work site if need be. An Oilfield Safety Anchor Service Inc. representative will either receive an email, speak with a utility representative or even meet the representative on the site to discuss placement of the anchors and any possibly conflicts with underground utilities.
